Start with what is already at home

Find recipes that fit what you have.

Keep one simple list for your pantry, fridge and cupboard. Big Recipe Book compares it with every saved recipe, puts the closest matches first and shows exactly what is still missing.

Clear, conservative matching

You stay in control of uncertain ingredients

Closest recipes first

Recipes are ranked by the fewest missing ingredients, then the highest matched percentage. Recipes without ingredient data remain visible at the end.

Possible matches stay visible

Names such as “milk” and “whole milk” are shown as possible matches, not silently accepted. Confirm a match once and it remains connected to that pantry item.

No assumed staples

Oil, salt and other common ingredients count only when you add them. The matcher does not guess what every kitchen contains.

01

Add ingredient names

Enter what is already in your pantry, fridge or cupboard. Quantities and expiry dates are deliberately left out.

02

Review a recipe match

Expand a recipe to see matched, missing and possible ingredients, and confirm any possible matches you recognise.

03

Choose what to buy

Review a preselected checklist of missing ingredients before anything is added to the current week's shopping list.

Private by default

Your inventory is account data

The working “What I have” page requires sign-in. Your ingredient list and confirmed matches are stored with your account and are not published or indexed.

Removing an ingredient also removes the match confirmations attached to it. Account deletion removes the pantry record with your other active account data.
