Recipe collection ideas that make choosing easier

The best collection name describes a decision you make repeatedly. Choose a small set from the ideas below rather than recreating every possible category.

Keep only the categories you browse independently. If every dinner recipe belongs to “Dinner”, that collection may not narrow the choice enough to help.

Dietary labels should support—not replace—checking the actual ingredients, products and preparation method for the person eating the meal.

For the recipe's status

Use Big Recipe Book's built-in Favourite control for recipes you love and its private star rating for a more detailed verdict. Reserve status collections for queues or workflows such as Want to try and Needs work, then update or remove them as recipes earn a decision.

A simple rule for adding a collection

Add a new collection when at least three recipes fit it, you expect to browse those recipes together and an existing collection does not already answer the same question. Otherwise, keep the detail in a private note or the recipe itself.
